One of my friends told me Pembroke is the best for E&M, although he was from Pembroke himself... But just remember, it ain't called PemBROKE for nothing.

Teddy Hall is fantastic for it. A great social college too, it draws on all the best aspects of university life.

I would have to say Merton is really good for that, but then again it's renowned for a lot of subjects. But be prepared to be pushed hard by tutors.

100% Merton! Best tutors for E&M in the university, can't beat them.

Well, Pembroke has a brilliant reputation for it - more students per year than anywhere else (4x as many as most colleges), some brilliant tutors, especially for management and usually the top management student in the year. However I'm not sure how good it's economics teaching is, and Pembroke isn't a college I'd choose for the atmosphere or facilities.

Hertford also takes on a lot, and is supposed to be pretty good. Balliol is amazing for econ, so worth a look (if you're super-amazing as it's ultra competitive). Lincoln's worth a look too, with Dr. Gumbel for management and Dr. Steven's for econ who are both great tutors. Everyone talks about their own college, and Univ (ie. my college) I think's brilliant - we're one of the few colleges with our own micro, macro and management tutors. Our micro tutor is an incredible tutor, though he will work you hard. Our management tutor is one of the very best I've had at Oxford and our macro tutor is a really interesting and lovely guy. Plus it's Univ, which automatically rocks. And for the last couple of years our tutor's have said they've found it hard to get decent E&M applicants, while they have plenty of capable ones for PPE.
