city air ruining skin

I've recently moved to uni in a city, having lived in a small country town all my life, and I think the city air is doing bad things to my skin lol, cos I've suddenly come up in loads of spots, not just on my face but on my back and chest as well, it's horrible. I'm putting tea tree lotion on it but it's not really getting better very quickly, so I was wondering if there are any better things to put on it to make it better? And also if it is likely to be the horrid polluted city air that's doing this or something else? What can I do, if anything, to avoid this happening again? :frown: Help appriciated. :frown:

crappy air can play around with your skin, not much you can realy do short of walking around in a chemical/biological warfare suit.
but i imagine over time youll become more accustomed to the different air and it will happen less.

maybe sommat else has changed since you moved to uni - hormones, diet, stress levels. i have pretty bad skin and have lived in a city all my life. when i go away somewhere, it does clear up... these things are difficult to pin down. anyway, you could get this vitamin tablet, selenium, supposed to help combat this problem. drink bottled water. and... you might get used to it. d
yeah live in london and sheffield...both polluted cities...my skin ain't great but id say it migth be diet as well as pollution, also late nights and drinking beer/alcho instead of water..so try and control those...also i find that washing my face with which clensing lotion and then putting on neutrogena non oil mousturiser straight when i come in from outside means thati get the grime of my face as soon as possible and my skin stays under control.

New clothes or sheets my have an affect too. Not quite sure what you can do though.
