I'm in year 11 right now and I'm applying for colleges and making decisions about what to take. I'm torn between taking either English lit or English combined, so far I have a GCSE in English lit, which I got B, and I'm yet to take English language in the summer. I initially planned on taking English lit but when I got a grade B I started to rethink my choices, so is a B in English lit good enough for A levels or should I take English combined instead?

Depends what sixth form you decide to go to. Some will accept a B at GCSE.
English Lit is a more respected A-level than the combined English's anyways.
