    i know this is a bit random but does anyone have any idea as to what the speed of a housefly hitting a window is?

    Erm, well wouldn't that depend on the velocity in which the fly was going at? I mean it could have been going max speed..or just hovering in a forwardly direction, if you know what I mean?
    Considering the average speed of a housefly is 4.5 miles an hour (http://www.hydeparkmedia.com/housefly.html), we can calculate that it would hit a window screen at approximately 2.1 metres/second.
