I have an essay with a word limit of 1000.
I had to cut it down loads!!! It's on Picasso, and I've only wrote about his early painting until 1904, which is 1010 words! But we've studied his paintings until 1936. So I've missed out 22 paintings.

Do you think I'd get marked down cos I didn't explore all his paintings.
Help! What should I do??

It depends on the assignment brief. What exactly have you been asked to do? At 1000 words, you are certainly being expected to write something very concise.

Do you get extra words? for instance I am allowed 10% over my limit so I would get 1100 words without being marked down

Focus on the more important ones and cover the whole span?
I.e. learn to prioritize rather than just working through logically. Doesn't show much skill doing that.
