    Hello,

I am just interested to know if a university can drop a course even in its first year? They would have a good reason to of course but what about the students that are on that course as they will have lost a year. Can the students sue for damages due to lost time and lost fees?

    Many thanks in advance.

The university has all the power. You can sue them for dropping you but they usually should provide some sort of support. Like other unis with the same or similar course, or similar courses at the same uni you could consider. They should refund you your fees. If they don't then you should complain like mad hahaha.

My university don't offer my degree anymore but I still do it. I assume that they are just waiting for the people currently on the course to graduate and then they will stop teaching it

Hopefully. Investment in the arts/humanities is wasted and would be better directed towards STEM courses.
