ive had two relationships with people ive worked with, the first was horrid after the break up (he was basically forced to leave his job because it was awkward, it got complicated he still had feelings for me), the second at work was great and we're still together 6 months later. basically its fine if you're not gonna have to work with them directly (ie people that work in different departments) but it could get messy if it doesnt work out and you're forced to work together. also some work places arent that keen on people dating, i know i always did less work when my bf was there distracting me lol
I guess it depends on each individual case, if you work somewhere quite important or if your job is really important to you then I guess its not such a good idea but if your just working in a shop part-time or something whilst in education then there isn't as much to loose.

I use to work in a fast food restaurant and practically every other member of staff was linked by some sort of a fling, it was almost like incest  if you do get together with someone at work though, please don't display affection whilst at work for the benefit of your colleagues, its bad enough having to work without your fellow employees getting off with each other instead of working
I went out with someone at work and we were the centre point for gossip for two months. Not fun.

I wouldnt advise it... might seem great at the time but it could effect your career later in a negative way!
I met my current girlfriend at work, and we never had problems, yes we were talked about alot but most people were generally happy for us. At first we denied we were together to keep them all guessing.

its not a good idea. I was with a bloke i worked with for a year and it was a really messy break up so we just end up bi tching all the time about each other and it sucks having to see him all the time! he also owes me a lot of money and its just so awkward - dont do it!
