Robinson's a good place to go if you're planning on doing physics since it's close to the department when Homerton really isn't. Other than that they're probably similar distances from the centre of town where most things in the first and second years are.

Natsci's a HUGE course, and the vast majority of the teaching (i.e. lectures) are university-wide. This means there's not much point trying to differentiate between the quality of education.

You'd be better off looking at the colleges themselves - where are they, how big are they, what facilities do they have, do they have bearable architecture?

Homerton doesn't have an on-site DoS for NatSci as far as I'm aware. my friend has to trek to St Edmund's (near centre of town!) to see hers. possibly something worth considering? There are a sizeable number of natscis at homerton though, you definitely won't be in a minority subject.

Homerton does have an on-site DoS for Nat-Sci: Stephen Tomkins, and yes there are plenty of Nat Sci's as we are one of the biggest colleges in Cambridge!

Check Homerton's location before applying. It's quite far out and away from most things.
Hmm well I'm applying to Homerton so I'd say go for that... but I shouldn't I be discouraging you (a *COMPETITOR*!!)? lol only joking hopefully we'll both get in

Then again I never looked at Robinson so..

Never apply to Homerton unless you enjoy being isolated from everything and everyone. A friend of mine there has a 30 min cycle to his lectures whenever he has any. Robinson is sooooo much better, and I'm not being biased.

Ditto. Robinson is a (leisurely - half that if you put in some effort) 10 min bike ride to town, methinks about 15 to the natsci site.

I'm not quite sure where you got this idea from - more like 5mins and 3 if you put effort in.

Yeah. I was thinking that it doesn't take much longer than 10 minutes to walk into town. Perhaps Jimmy was including pissing around taking your bike out of the shed and locking it up afterwards in his estimate. That kind of thing always takes me ages.
