Norwich is a city which does have plenty of night life and things going on but it is a medium sized city so understandably larger cities would have a better night life.

It's a small-ish city, but there's still a lot in terms of clubs. And a lot of diversity. If you're looking for chart and dance music, most of the clubs on Prince of Wales Road cater to that. Lola Lo's, while not strictly on PoW, is the one I'd recommend there. The Loft, also near there, is LGBT centred, and plays all sorts of music and has the longest opening licence in the city to my knowledge. The Waterfront (personally my favourite in the city) caters to rock music fans. Hideout specialises in house and bass and is good fun.

Less clubby, and more bars-with-music would be Gonzo's (a lovely, quirky but expensive tea room which gets very club-esque late at night - it did used to be a club), Vodka Revs (standard chain - food and cocktails, has a small dance area if I remember correctly) and though I've never been - though heard good things about - I think the Karma Kafe is in this section too.

And then there's the good old LCR right on campus. Cheap and easy to get to - not my cup of tea but plenty of other people enjoy it.

The rampant moaning of an old sixth form friend who came back from Manchester for Christmas tells me the nightlife (surprisingly enough I'm sure :P) isnt as good here as there.
