So, i'm doing a BTEC in Music Performance at an Access to Music College, but I sort of wish I was doing A-level Music just because I'm watching to go into Academic Research as well as explore the practical side of music through producing, playing instruments, singing and just creating music but how much writing is there in A-level music, do you feel like you're learning or just being assessed. And does anyone want to study Music in University? If so, where?

Sorry. I just saw your reply. Please quote me in the future.

I completed my A level in 2014 and am repeating a couple exams. For my board, you have to write 2 essays in the written exams for both years.

Hey, I'm doing AS music with OCR at the moment. Which exam board did you do?

Has anyone got any information on how AQA mark the Shostakovich/Elgar question? Or any good resources to learn from?
