The maths involved is not difficult (you receive a formula booklet containing most of the formulas). Majority is rearranging and working with formulas and there's the occasional algebra.

The jump from GCSE to AS is a big one, I struggled for the first 5 months but that's because I slacked off at the beginning. You should be fine as long as you are committed and hardworking from day 1.

The jump to AS is not big if you got an A* or A at GCSE. However, the A2 syllabus so far is noticeably harder to earn marks on I've found. Just stick at it and do past papers. Many topics overlap with GCSE but the trick is not to get complacent if you think you know it. Learn each new topic as if you've never encountered it before.
