How hard are the D1 and D2 maths A level options? Watch

Please include the amount of time spent on them (or how long it would have taken you), the difficulty and if its possible to self teach.

I found D1 reasonably easy (haven't started D2), but it's harder to get all the marks on exam papers.

I would say it's harder to self-teach though. Decision requires a lot about specific methods to carry out, and more marks are given for method rather than accuracy.

I spent the least amount of time on D1 but it was also my worst mark in AS maths... It's easy to get an A though, just hard to get like 95+. There are no hard topics, Linear programming is probably the hardest.
