Hi, I'm looking for some new shoes but not sure which ones to get for nights out on the town this winter?

    So far I've found these

    http://www.prettygreen.com/shop/prod...-desert-boots/

    and

    http://www.aldoshoes.com/uk/en_UK/AL...p/33980762-97#

which ones would you get if any?

    Thanks
I think the second one is better imo.

The second ones are smarter.. Don't think they'd look right with casual clothes though so if you want them for every day use I'd say the first pair

I agree, they look better quality, but there's something about the 1st ones
Tbf they do look good but the quality isn't as good enough as the second one.
I know you like looking good but at the end of the day, it's for winter purposes etc

I think a guy should comment - they may have a different view on this

I'm not sure, I thought the first ones look like they could be worn with more things, whereas the second appear as though they couldn't be worn with everything, but look better quality

Yeah that's what I meant, I edited what I wrote but it was too late.

Even though they're good quality, would you wear them often enough?

Second ones look slightly more waterproof and that they'll actually last the winter. First ones look a bit flimsy to me..

If you want them for winter wear, make sure they have a decent tread otherwise you may become a cropper!!

Therefore avoid the first one, and see if you can get a photo of the second one's tread.
    Personally I like Rockport shoes.

although the second pair can be considered as 'smart' -no doubt the first pair are just :adore:

I think the second pair/Aldo ones look better imo, and it seems most people here think so too, especially as there is only £10 difference

by the way desert boots re waterproof, they've been designed to be waterproof even though it doesnt seem like it, trust me, i've bought deser boots for winter and they are so warm inside! besides especially suited for winter desert boots generally have a 'furry' and 'woolly' lining whereas these aldo boots wont be as comfy and genuinely warm!
