Hi,

I am bit petrified because I managed to leave soup on the stove and it burned to charcoal. There was a lot of smoke in the flat and after 36 hours, the odor still persists. We have no windows in the kithchen so I opened entrance door and kitchen door to get some air. When doors are opened, whole block of flats stinks!

I tried to place vinegar in bowls and wash kitchen surfaces with it but smell still lingers. And it was not even a huge accident, just a small pot with some greyish puffy smoke. I vacumed carpets and floors and tried to wash my clothes, but the smell in clothes still exist.

Did anyone encounter such situation and what I am supposed to do? What about landlord? Will I need to pay for such minor accident?
