Lots of little cars and the road themed carpet to play with them on

Micro Machines
Scalextric
Lego
Meccano
Brio (them wooden railway sets you could make)

When I was about 15-16 I got into building airfix models, but I stopped after it became a bit expensive.

Barbies, I used to have so many! Not sure if this counts as toys but I would always have some sort of art/painting set as well

I had polly pockets as well.
I also liked skydancers and barbies. I particularly liked this barbie van i had (a camper van type thing) with a shed load of bits and pieces with it.

In my younger days, I was very much into Tamiya 1/24 scale models, Meccano and Lego.

Always wanted a radio controlled aircraft, I asked my parents for one, they promised I could have one if I came top of the class in Year 5. I did, they gave me the money for it and told me to go buy it.

The Saturday of the week I was given the money, I went to the hobby shop for it and had $700 in my pocket for the aircraft, kept $500 in hand. It was a Spitfire Mk2b that I was after. I asked the shopkeeper what was the best price for it and was told $530 with the high powered engine. I asked it for $500 with the high powered engine and a gallon of fuel. Showed the shopkeeper I had the $500 to pay for it that morning. She didn't budge from the price, so I walked away and went to the nearby POSB and placed all $700 into my account, then went to a McDonald's for an ice cream.

Bloody hell, after that while eating the ice cream, passed by the shop, the shopkeeper told me I could have the kit for $500 but I had already deposited the money and told her I've to do it another time. Met my granddad then and he asked me why I didn't buy the aircraft, I told him I couldn't get it at the price I wanted so decided to try again when it was closer to Xmas that year.

Well Xmas came and went but always felt a heavy heart to withdraw the money so that aircraft never became a reality till 8 months ago when I bought it for my son and yes all my kids has become the dumping ground for all the toys I wanted in my younger days but never had the opportunity to own.

Do you still have the Meccanos and Scalextrics?
Which ones did you have?

Matchbox cars? Did you keep them or they have landed in some recycle bin?

I don't think so, unless they're in the attic somewhere. Can't remember which ones I had, haven't played with them since I was a kid.
