Nothing, just go for it. No one else seems to be worried.
Its filled with neds! and junkies & the occasional rapist. its a good place to go if you're looking to get rid of all your money and valuable possesions and a trip to A & E is your idea of a good night

Aah, did they re-name Peterhead to Seaton park?

A girl got attacked just outside Seaton Park in broad day light. Don't have all the details but saw droplets of blood along the pavement and a police car on way back from lectures. There are no lights in the park and remember the ground isnt level - your bound to fall and hurt yourself even when there is no one to kick your shins in for you regardless.
yeah ok peterheads rough but seaton park at night must rank up there with sandilands, torry etc

Is it really so unsafe to go through at night? Whats wrong with it?

No; though saying that I wouldn't recommend you do it... I have walked back drunk at 4am through seaton park cos I couldn't be arsed to go around the park.
xyz2k6 i now have new found respect for you lol, either that or i feel sorry for you as you appear to have lost the will to live!

Only a real man can do such a feat!

P.S.

I will never ever walk through seaton park at night again lol
it might be slightly better if you were in a group but even then you're not totally safe. We should have a contest, see who can survive the park the longest lol

Well, I walked back alone through the park on a night out; I was originally with the wardens in hillhead on a night out (don't ask why, it just happened; its one of those "first year things"). So I think it doesn't matter if you are alone or not; if your going to get robbed/raped/murdered, you will get robbed/raped/murdered regardless. Group or no group.

IMO seaton park is probably more dangerous during the trechearous winter, when the ground becomes slippery due to the ice. Your probably more likely to slip and hurt your back then get robbed etc.

Went to the Watering Hole one night as part of a 10-man group, walked back alone with the g/f at 2am and was fine! She thought I was brave as hell (or mad!)
yeah i'd have to agree with your gf - you are mad! lol. i'd feel safe as part of a 10 man group though

Torry is a run down area but in reality, very few random acts of violence or mugging etc ever occur round that way.

That's not the sort of thing I hear from my mates that live there. Everyone knows at least 1 person who's been randomly attacked but meh, I don't live there so it's not such an issue. And this is a really old thread :s-smilie:
