Transposing a song changes the key? watch

So if I transpose a song written in G Minor by +2 (this is how it's written on my keyboard, not sure if it's always like this) does this mean if I play the same song it's now in A minor? Likewise if I do -2 will it now be in the key of F Minor?

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to piano+theory

Yeah, that's what I've been taught too. The bit after the letter (ie, minor) doesn't chang; but the note does.

Yeah it changes, me and my friend transpose pieces from F key to E flat key quite a bit.
