    It was around the time the government was proposing the law regarding incitement to religious hatred. I used the freedom of speech/conscience argument - that government should not regulate how you feel or how you express those feelings unless they cause direct harm to others - as well as arguing against the specific elements of the bill and how they were drawn in such a way that perfectly innocuous comments would become actionable.

    My partner (an atheist) simply argued that religion is bad and irrational, is responsible for war etc. and various other things.
