Hi,
basically, in need of help on advice where to go in terms of univeristy for sports science. I'm in the process of leaving uni after a few months as hate the place. I'm going to take a few months off and go somewhere as a first year in September. I'm so scared about making the same mistake again, so if anyone would help me i would greatly appreciate it!

im looking at either Oxford brookes or brighton. So:

Oxford brookes questions
1) what is Oxford like? Are the buildings like ones in bath?
2) what's the nightlife like in Oxford
3) is there much to do in the day/weekends in oxford
4) is Oxford 'chavvy'
5) what is Oxford brookes like as a sporting uni

Brighton uni:
1) the campus for sport is in Eastbourne, so what is eastbourne like?
2) is eastbourne really queit
3) what is the nightlife like in Eastbourne
4) what is the sport like at brighton uni
5) is it inconvenient getting into brighton town centre from Eastbourne, and do you feel really out of it and excluded?

if anyone from either place could help me!

Thank you

You might get more answers if you also post this in the Oxford Brookes and Brighton subforums in the universities and colleges section

Oxford Brookes -
1) It is a lovely city full of beautiful buildings.
2) Nightlife is pretty crazy but amazing.
3) There is always things to do, the union has something arranged almost every day, and within the city there are various things to do.
4) There are some chavs but every city has them.
5) As a sporting university i would say its pretty good, a lot of selection and great socials.

What course do you want to do?

Oxford brookes questions
1) Most of the architecture is absolutely beautiful - i'd say a lot nicer than bath in the main university and the town centre itself is obviously gorgeous
2) There isn't a HUGE variety , but there is quite a bit to do as well as free safety buses to get you back after your night out
3) You can always walk in to Oxford or get a bus to Bicester Village , or even a coach into london - none of it costs that much to do , but eventually it will become a bit boring :P like any place though
4) No more than your average area
5) There are a lot of opportunities to get involved with sport , especially seeing as some of the sports such as rowing are mixed with Oxford University
