Struggling in 2nd year...any tips?! watch

    • Thread Starter

    Hi everyone,

As the title suggests, I'm a second year student studying human geography but I'm really struggling with the work and what's expected of me this year.

Last year, I worked really hard and got a First but this year I'm scraping 2.1s, if that, so I'm absolutely devastated over it...I know it's not the end of the world and it could be a lot worse but this really isn't like me

Any study tips or general advice would be really appreciated!

Bit difficult to advise without knowing the detailed assignment briefs, what they asked you to do and what you've actually delivered. Your best guide is the feedback on your assignments /coursework, which should give you points for improvement. Is it showing any recurring themes? Those are the issues to address.

If the feedback doesn't give you that detail, then approach the people who set it and ask if they can give you some one-to-one guidance. If they realise you're determined to get a First, they will hopefully be supportive.
Do you think parents should charge rent?
