Oh my goodness has anyone else seen this yet?

Such a good film. Benedict Cumberbatch was superb (as always). I can see why they think it's going to do well at the awards. I'd happily go and watch it again!

I really enjoyed the film, but I'm kind of annoyed at some of the inaccuracies in it. I also thought the parts with the apples and the Cyanide were perhaps a little tasteless. And the fact that they're suggesting Turing covered for a Soviet spy is verging on unacceptable in my opinion.

But overall, I thought it was a really good film. And if I didn't know anything about Alan Turing, then those points wouldn't have immediately been an issue.

Seeing it this weekend! Can't wait. Heard very good things - and I'm a huge fan of Cumberbatch, naturally.

I don't know much about Turing apart from the Turing test (I'm a linguist so we look a lot at how to make computers sound like humans) so didn't know that those bits were inaccurate.

I thought it was very good. It could have been so awful, and I was worried it would be, but Cumberbatch is an awesome actor at what he does, and it was great.

Alan Turing is one of my all time heroes.

Yeah he was a great guy!

I've bought my dad the book that the movie was based off for Christmas and will definitely be stealing it to read after he's done!

Shocked by how striking Redmayne looks at Hawking actually. Hope the script isn't too twee.

Indeed, a lot more than Cumberbatch looks like Turing lol

Although I'm starting to get sick of Cumberbatch being in absolutely everything I thought he gave a great performance in this. Didn't really have any expectations for the film as I hadn't heard of it until about half an hour before I saw it but was very impressed.
