I'm starting A Levels next year, but I'm gonna apply to uni in Australia(I live in Bangladesh), and everyone is telling me to pick Maths. I'm absolutely horrendous at Maths and no way can I complete my A levels in a year if I take it. Sure, my IGCSE grades were good, but it wasn't easy at all, and I don't think I can go through that again. I was just wondering if taking just English Language and Physics in A levels will be okay. My IGCSE grades so far:

    English: A* (92)
    Maths: A (87)
    Bangla: A (77)
    Islamiyat: A (64)

I still have Bio, Human Bio and Physics left. Hoping on good grades, though. Exam's this January.

I also have a fairly well developed blog, and that's gotta help, right?

    Hi.

For journalism don't do maths if you don't want to- it won't improve your application. Also if you don't enjoy maths I wouldn't do physics as its very mathsy at a level- more maths mechanics than physics I'd say.

I'd study Media Studies or an Art subject, English language and either politics or a foreign language A level if you speak any foreign languages offered by the exam boards.

    Good luck!

Why on earth are they telling you to take Maths if you plan on doing Journalism at university?

You should study 3 A-levels. And you definitely have to pick either English Language, English Literature or English combined A-level. Possibly even Media Studies. You will not be able to get into uni without any of these A-levels.

Do not pick Maths at A-level for crying out loud!
