I was kinda disappointed that it wasn't very hard.
Anyway, here're my answers.

Spoiler

In the first one I got the same, but minus 3
so -6<x<-3 or x>1
x>1

And in 7 one of the coefficients is 176sqrt(3)/3
because I think 352sqrt3 for the derivative and then you have to divide by 3!=6
(edited 8 years ago)
I'm pretty sure the region is outside the circle

I got 1.5sin2x + cotx (cosx)^2 + c cosecx

Probably different format.
Was your integral factor sinx?

Whoops, I typed in the answer incorrectly.

I got inside.

z = 3iw/(1-w)

|z| <= 2

|3iw/(1-w)| <= 2
|3iw| <= 2|1-w|
3|w| <= 2 |-1| |w-1|
3|w| <= 2|w-1|

9(u^2 + v^2) <= 4(u-1)^2 + 4v^2
9u^2 + 9v^2 <= 4u^2 - 8u + 4 + 4v^2
5u^2 + 8u + 5v^2 <= 4

Therefore, shade inside the circle.

Is anything there wrong?
How many marks will i
Lose for putting (0,4/5) instead of (-4/5,0)

The only thing i got wrong is a term in the taylor series (last term) how many marks would i lose?

I am going for my morning walk ...

based on the first few votes and the comments amongst reputable users of this site it looks that this FP2 boundaries are going to be the highest ever!!

Anyone care to check my answer to 3?

I got the same answer. Is this correct? I'm seeing other people with completely different answers

Did anyone else use factor formulae for the differential equation in Q3 ( i think)
yes the integral was sinx, where pretty much a lot of my friends and other people said they got stuck in integrating cos2xsinx, you would use the cos2x expansion integrating after should get you

y= cot (x) - (2/3) cos^2(x) cot (x) + Ccosec(x)
Where can I find the questions guys? Has it been uploaded anywhere?
Your help is much appreciated.
