If I put 2pi instead of pi for the volume of revolution formula, do you think that's only one mark lost? (The integration and everything else was correct).

you will lost M1 and A1 as worst situation, only lost A1 is possible but not likely

Thanks. My mark should be ~70 then.

Was this paper harder or easier than usual?

I hope it's harder for majority of candidates

I lost 3+3+6 maximum, :/
I'm really worried for my students guys. Any chance someone can upload the paper?

Don't know, does Arsey usually upload MS for FP3?

Definitely harder

Expected boundaries anyone?
I found the paper was fairly hard, made a few stupid mistakes but hope it's enough for an A.

most of the further mathematicians are still in exam doing S2...
I am running a poll but the sample is way too small to form an opinion

Ok, i feel fked,
Q1- hyperbolic - easy 1/4ln5/3
Q2 - eigenvector - normal 2,2+-sqrt(2)
Q3 - integration for (x+1)^2-4 - easy
Q4 - conics? hyperbola - c) is hard
Q5 - vectors - slightly easy than before
Q6 - reduction? strange - normal/hard 8/105
Q7 - cannot remember, someone pls remind me
Q8 - conics - hard

Comparing to the hardest paper in history i.e. 2009 or 2014
for 2009 as comparison to 2015
Q1. identical - easier
Q2. vector - easier
Q3. eigenvector - same/easier (they have integer eigenvalues)
Q4.differentiation - normal and little bit hard
Q5. reduction - harder but regular rather than 2015's form
Q6. hyperbola - easier than Q8 in 2015
Q7. vector - slightly harder
Q8. integration - same

and for 2009 is 50 for 80UMS, so 2015 will be -2/3 maximum

Predicted UMS as Minimum (don't think will go lower)

65 - 100UMS
59 - 90UMS
52 - 80UMS

Hmm, for the question where you stated p and q for the volume of revolution, I got p =1/2 because of the 2pi so 2pi*1/4 = 1/2 pi?

I did the same thing, but the volume of revolution formula only has pi, not 2pi.
That was difficult! The value of 2 + root 2 totaly threw me off.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO..... Think it will be a loss of 2 maximum marks or 1 only?

Oh my ****ing days all those questions of area of revolution I thought 2pi applied to everything, lol

What do you feel in comparison with previous paper, especially hard ones - 2014 and 2009, i think 2015 is not that hard but wired and some less able students will preform badly

I got OQR=1

Had like Q(e^t, e^t) and R(e^-t, -e^-t) and find OQ and OR by Pythagoras and then area = 1 therefore independent of variable 't'

IN GOT 1 TOO
Had to guess a little bit but oh well
Question 7 really threw me and the last part of question 8 , praying for a C tbh
