I am currently retaking year 13 and completing my UCAS application, I felt i had extenuating circumstances which had really affected performance last year, however last year I was planning on having a gap year and applying then, so I couldn't let Universities know about my Extenuating circumstances because I didnt even apply but applying now they have put I need to have let them know at the time it occured, the only people I let know was my School. I just want to know what other people think because im worried theyre not going to be considered

Surely there's no harm in putting them anyway and seeing what the outcome is? I don't know what the procedure is because I've never had them but you might as well try! x

Im just worried that they wont be considered but its like im disadvantaged because i didnt apply first time round, and ive looked on various universities websites and it doesnt make it clear. All ive seen is for you to let them know at the time but i couldnt do that :/

Don't fret too much about it. Your teachers might put this in your reference anyway, so maybe you should talk to them first. But really, I think admissions will be looking at your performance this year and the results you get Unless the extenuating circumstances are repeating again this year, it doesn't sound bad at all.
