I've been hearing his discussion quite a bit recently.
It's all based on the idea that the slave masters initially introduced Christianity and the 'white Jesus' to the black slaves so people view the whole religion as a farce. It's also said that it was seen as a way to control the slaves so they could behave in a certain way (humble, submissive) in order to give the slave masters peace.
I'm black and I've been a Christian all my life, but I cannot make sense of this argument though it still intrigues me on how it came about. What are your opinions on this?
