Little help anyone? Thanks.

The price of a CD is denoted by £x. For 60 CDs bought in different stores it is found that {(x-12) = 53.40. Calculate the mean price of these CDs. The mean price of a further 40 CDs is found to be £11.64. Find the mean price of the 100 CDs.

I know the the first mean is 53.4/60 + 12.

But for the second I cant get the answer of 12.39 which is in the back, any help with this please? thanks.

For the first 60 CDs, the mean price is £(53.4/60 + 12) = £12.89
£12.89 x 60 = £773.40 paid for all 60 CDs

For the other 40 CDs, the mean price is £11.64
£11.64 x 40 = £465.60 for the 40 CDs

£773.40 + £465.60 = £1239 for all 100 CDs. Therefore the mean price of each of the 100 CDs = £(1239/100) = £12.39
