my boyfriend asked me out over msn. how modern!
People just tend to assume we're going out without me ever having to ask them. They just, like, tell me.

Which is fine. lol.

Hmm I'll go through my history of bfs.

1) 2004 DEC - My first bf was when I was 16. I was at a christmas party, started talking to this lad who I thought was good looking... end of night. Asked him out face to face.

2) 2005 JUNE - This is a few months after I broke up with the first one. This lad was a friend of my friend, we talked alot and I felt attracted to him... I asked him out face to face...

3) Start of 2006 JAN, I talked to this lad from school, we are really good friends. But we only talked on msn most of the time... he asked me out on msn. Didn't last long.

4) 2006 JULY, I went to a friend's party; saw this really nice lad and started talking to him.. YUP course I asked him out and I was so happy when he liked me back. Couldn't see him much as he's in a band so it didn't last long.

5) 2006 AUGUST, summer holiday was ending. I was walking in the park with a friend, a football hit me on head , this lad came over to say sorry ...he was so cute that i started talking to him. swapped msn addies. He asked me out on msn. Lasted a month... and Again I'm single.

I realised that I mostly do the asking out...

OOOO erm to answer your question, when I did the asking out, I felt nervous if I didn't know him that well. If i do, then I feel comfortable asking.

When a lad asks me out, I feel appreciated and happy even if I wasn't attracted to him back. But I would be friends with him.

EDIT: Broke up due to the fact that most the lads wanted sex though some others were better as friends. Ah well...
My boyfriend asked me laying down next to me on my bed. Aw he's so sweet

Proof that MSN is doom for relationships from day one.

Also, good to see a girl asking out guys for once. It sucks that guys are always expected to do the hard part.
Its not a like a formal event like if im in a club/pub where ever and get chatting/dancing with a guy they normally ask my number. We'll get texting, meet up a few time and then you realise after a while your going out! It kind of gradually happens in my experience.

Haha yeah, though it would be nice if a lad asked me out for once and by that I mean 'face to face'. I guess it's too challenging for most lads.:p: It's either that or I'm intimidating...

Actually,I don't see many guys nowadays asking girls out...I have a feeling girls are taking the role unless it's just me...pah.
