Running two pill packs..

Right, basically my boyfriend is coming over to see me this week, which is the week where I have my pill free days, so I've decided to just start another pack this week..

I looked at the information sheet in with my pills, but there's nothing in there about this sort of thing (I'm on Microgynon 30).

It's ok to do that sort of thing right? Should I still expect some bleeding or side-effects?

I've on Microgynon 30. There is no need to run 2 packs together if you have been taking them properly, you are still protected in the pill free week. However you will come on your period. Do you want to run 2 packs together to stop your period? Thats the only side effect you will have, no period.

I am on microgynon 30, i often run 2 packs together and my doc said it is fine, only side effect is when you do take your break the bleed is twice as heavy/painful as usual, is for me anyway, it is possible to get spotting and little breakthrough bleeds near the end of the second pack but i never get this unless i run 3 packs together and then only sometimes.

Yeah, that's what I meant, sorry. I feel really awful when I'm on my period and I don't want to be all ratty when my boyfriend comes over (I haven't seen him in a month so don't want to scare him!)

I've never had any problems. In fact, I always run two packs together. My period is no heavier or painful than usual when I next come on, although for some people that can happen. Try it and see.

To be completely honest though, it may not work for you and some people still have a period/breakthrough bleeding when they run packs together.
