yep sure am, cant wait. is UCL like really good, in terms of going out and stuiff, herd it is. How hard do u really have to work for sumthing like law at ucl cos thats wot im doing!
The workload for law is significantly harder for most other courses, I suppose. But it's really quite good because most of the tutors are brilliant. The social life is great - LONDON ! Free drinks receptions by law firms are not to be missed. :-)

My name is Jern, male. I am entering final year law at UCL in two weeks. I am also registered as one of the senior buddies, I was just interested to know first year law students coming into UCL.

Ok so to what extent does your GCSE grades have on the decision of uni's to accept you. I mean does it depend on the university themselves. But the main thing, what if you have crap GCSE's and graet a-level results, is that still acceptable at places like Oxbridge alone with a great personal statement and an excelent recommendation?

Well great A-levels will usually be enough, as long as your english and maths at GCSE (unless taken at at least AS Level) are high enough.

I just spent the whole morning reading through all the letters & stuff from UCL (I've just come back from holiday so had a huge pile waiting for me!). I'm so excited!! at the same time kinda scared because some of my classes are so big (300 students...) whereas I come from a small school which had 12 people in the 6form - talk about change of environments! Anyway, the point of this message is about societies!
Does anyone know what societies they're gonna join? How many are we allowed to join? and what are the costs? Also, I read in "the little purple guide" that we can have a "try" week or 2, where we get a taste of the societies... how does that work? do u still have to pay for those? There are about 15 societies that seem really cool to me! Can I really try them all!?
