I had a cold recently which has caused my asthma to flare up quite badly, to the point where I keep having to take my inhaler as I keep coughing a lot.. I went to the docs last week and it hasnt gotten any better, only worse, anyway all they did was give me steroids which I took the week's worth I was meant to and they also gave me new inhalers. I have another problem though, this past week Ive been getting heartburn every time I eat, I only eat at regular meal times: breakfast, lunch, dinner. I rarely snack now that I'm at uni and I eat well sized meals, or so I think. It's really bugging me because when I have heartburn I cough anyway, it's like a reflex or something so I've been coughing so much, then could the heartburn be a result of me coughing so much? I havent been able to sleep properly in days and feel really lethargic as well Also when I had the cold that lead to this my chest was making a slight rattling noise but it went away..
Steroids can cause gastritis (and also heartburn). Talk to your doc about having stomach problems. He could give you anti-acid medication to take as well.
