Letters from Universities

As I know pretty much everyone on this forum is impatient about Uni offers and letters, I thought that this would be a good thread for people. Basically, as you well know, some Uni's will send out letters telling you that they have recieved your application.

Basically, in this thread, what I suggest is that everyone who has recieved either a letter, an email or an offer from their University, whether it be a notice telling you they have your application or an offer, post WHEN (date) your application was sent off, WHAT course youre applying for, WHAT university you have heard from and WHAT date you recieved info from the relvant university. This way paranoid people, like myself can try and estimate when they might hear back from Universities.

Many thanks!

Hello! I've applied for English lit; my referee sent off my application on the 4th of October. Since then I've had an email from Leeds (11 Oct), saying they've received my application and will be making a decision within the next few days. Nothing from the rest yet, though..

Once again, Cambridge proves to be more efficient than Oxford - pfff.

Any Gryffindor - you're doing 11 APs in total? That's isane!

Awh, well, there are some advantages to Oxford (the application fee paying, the interviews in Vancouver, etc) that made me at one point wish I had applied to Ox instead, but Cambridge is coming back for the win. lol.

LOL, yeah, I will have taken 11 APs, and will have taken ~ 13 other college/uni level courses. My current year is pretty much a waste, because I have nothing that I needed to take. So I just took more, because I realllly want to get into Cambridge

Im sending my application on monday...
If a course accepts 15 or 20 people only, is it possible that they have filled the spots allready? cuz i though that they waited approximately until near the deadline to offer places. In that case it must be the first qualified ones who send their app who gets in right?

No. They have to leave enough spaces for later applicants in order to have a fair overview of each applicant, thats why sometimes it takes ages for an offer, especially for courses with hardly any vacancies.

Ok good, it would be unfair otherwise.. they mine as well not have a deadline in that case haha
