I once knew someone who has an anxiety problem.
She always worried about things and generally got depressed...

Is this something that you have btw? Maybe you could give us some more information about yourself/why you're asking?

yeh i do... i just get worried and anxious but not really about anything... that prob doesn't make sense. i'm not depressed or anything, i love my life and just wana enjoy it without feeling like i have something to worry about all the time... i think it's because i've had something to worry about for the last 3 years - exam stress - and now it's almost become a habit, even though there's nothing to stress about anymore. not sure if this makes sense... sounds stupid but is getting me down.

it makes a lot of sense. a lot of people fall into the trap of over-thinking. its a vicious circle. you're anxious, so you worry about getting rid of it, which makes you more anxious... all i can say is you need to condition yourself. when you're in a group situation, focus on what's going on around you, don't let yourself start internalising thoughts, it will only make you anxious. just breathe in thru your nose and out your mouth. put your foot down in your mind - i'm not thinking this anymore, its irrational. externalise stuff more. your inner self will see you as confident. eventually, you could see theres not all that much to worry about and over-worrying gets you nowhere
Yep, and depression just to make the whole thing a bit more 'interesting'! I get really anxious about stupid little things, and sometimes genuinely about nothing - I can be sitting watching a film and suddenly get really really panicky?! Have you been diagnosed recently to be asking this or just interested?) Just realised that could sound very harsh - I didn't mean it horribly
