Dealing with intimidating people

Everyday at college I come across the same nasty people, I have no idea what to say to them without them giving me a dirty look or saying something at me, any ideas? I'm sick to death of their attitude in a learning society.

lol... intimidating people i would always think have something missing inside of them that they try to cover up and be intimidating (i.e. they have personal problems and trying to be manly by being intimidating).... or there are just some people that looks intimidating when theyre really not... :biggrin:

the best thing to do is ignore them... or get to know them... me, i simply ignore them unless i got a pretty good reason to put attention to them

Ignoring them is the best thing to do, just don't think about what they say.
They obviously have nothing better to do then wait around and insult people.

Why waste your time getting annoyed about them? Ignore them and do well in your studies - these idiots usually end up doing worse in life. They are jealous as you have opportunities ahead of you or you are more attractive :smile:

Destroy them academically? Pfff.. It won't alter the fact they give him crap.

Either be prepared to take them down or just ignore it. There's nothing more you can do.

Don't look nervous or scared. Just walk past, or even smile.

They'll soon get bored.

look them in the eyes,when ppl look down it shows that they are getting to you,just walk by and keep looking at them,if you do it long enough they will look away,and you have claimed a small moral victory.^^

Yes they are other students in my year. They're just very unfriendly and dismissive, which gets on my nerves as I see/talk to them often, but not by choice. I need smart things to say to them to piss them off but I'm hopeless lol.

Ignore them totally or swear at them and ask what their problem is. If that doesnt help, throw them accross the Front reception desk. I would personally wack them across the head with a piece of 4 by 2.

At which point you would promptly be arrested. Great idea.

I would suggest to them that the reason they're so obsessed with you is because they fancy you, and every time they say something snide, say to them something like "Sorry Princess, but I just don't swing that way." Chances are they're homophobic and it might make a difference.
