Im guessin you're in yr 13...therefore your student oyster will be valid until something like July, not December!

I don't think you can get a student oyster as it has to be stamped by your Student Union like a NUS Card so I don't think you can as although you have a place at uni your not actually a student essentially.

It's valid until 30th September next year.

Surely you can get a young person's card? Tbh wouldn't a normal oyster suffice? Are prices going up come December?
This is Ken Livingstone territory- of course you're not going to get something that would actually save you money!

Anyway, according to those beauties at TFL, you need to be attending the university to be able to claim the Student Oyste, and as somebody above said, it has to be a university that has signed up (but saying that, most of the major London unis like UCL, Kings, Imperial et al. are). But again, as somebody said, you could just get the Adult Oyster.

Yeh I have a normal oyster now, it costs me £157 a month, which is pretty raw. I wouldn't mind paying it all if the trains were never delayed, but they always are. I go on the Central and Jubilee line now so its not too bad.

Just get a bit pissed off when I've paid that much and still and up 20 mins late cos of a signal failure. Still I've got a good job so its worth it.

If your journey is delayed by 15mins or more you can get a refund! Just fill in the form online: https://www.tfl.gov.uk/tube/contacts/refunds.asp

Pretty good since you get a voucher for probably a bit more than you paid!
