wetrooms!

Does anyone else think wetrooms are one of the worst ideas ever?! I know they call them modern, but I think they're rubbish!
My room here at uni has one... the drainage hole was basically blocked to start with... but whenever I have a shower, the whole bathroom floods to about 4 inches deep, and sometimes even under the door :s-smilie:

I got back from my lecture earlier today forgetting that it would still be flooded, and got my foot and bottom part of my leg drenched! lol ... I can't even use the bathroom properly until the water goes down... and it's now 8pm, 12 hours later, and still about 2 inches deep! ahhhh. heh
I have taken the covering off from the drainage hole but it looks clear in the immediate part! hmm oh well.

They only suck if not well maintained or the person in charge is a silly billy.

Just speak to whoever is in charge, get them to sort things out.

I think they are amazing if they're huge or slightly large. But I think I know where you're coming from. It's in your room right? Well I saw a friends hall and they have the same and her's was a tiny room so I understand. If it leaks that's really bad... :s

But besides that wetrooms rock!

Don't complain on an internet forum about it. Go to your wardens or the reception at your halls and complain!
Its nothing to do with your wet room but your drain seems clogged. You should get it open
by reporting it to in house service and it should never happen again. And
remember to get some acid cleaning liquid from nearby shop and pour that in every
week to avoid it clogged again. If this don’t help then the wet room is poorly
fitted or is of bad quality. Therefore many good bathroom retailers like Royal
Bathrooms who sell good quality wetrooms. But since it is managed by university
and you are into a temporary residence, nothing like that can be done. The best
way to deal is to avoid your drain pipe getting clogged. The best liquid if you
want to unclog it as DIY is sulphuric acid but not widely available and needs to
be very careful while using it. Use glasses and gloves and avoid direct contact
with it.
