Law at LSE

Hi

I have applied to LSE to read Law, starting in 2007. However, yesterday someone I know told me that something like 80% of offers for Law at LSE are made to people with 8 A* or more at GCSE. Is this true? I got 6 A* (and 5 As) and I am kind of worrying that I won't stand a chance.

Don't worry too much about it. People get in with A's and B's at GCSE. :smile:

As long as you are predicted 3A's+ and have good references, you should be fine.

Don't worry about it. Those grades are great. What are your A levels prediction? What subjects did you take?

Thanks for the reassurance. I guess I am worrying over nothing. I am predicted AAAA in Geography, Economics, Biology and Chemistry. I got 270+ in all my AS exams. :smile:

It's the GCSE bit I am worried about.

You can never tell just on your academic performances, if you're going to get in or not. No one can tell and unless LSE themselves say that whatever is the case, then that's what you believe, not whoever else told you. Were in for whatever reason (i still ask myself how but anyway!!) and i think each of our circumstances are different, so we cant really say that over 8A* mean you'll get in.. Just apply and whatever happens happens. Everything happens for a reason so see how it goes! good luck xx

Ill throw a book at Roberts, he falls over breaking an ankle, the entire theatre starts cracking up, and while I'm being taken away by LSE security, you make a run for it. Would you be up for it?

Aww he's still a sweet old man!! Good plan if it were joe jacob, but roberts is a little old dude (unlike jacob who is a perve ewwww). How bout i just sit RIGHT at the front where he cant see me and just sleep for an hour? Passive and non-violent :p:

Actually Alex I'm curious to know what's the problem with Jacob? He seems harmless to me.

I'm sure he is harmless, and seems like a delightful man, but his language is difficult to understand, and is certainly not succinct.
