it does give you an advantage, yes, but that doesnt mean that just coz you're not drop-dead handsome you will not attract girls

you have a very biased opinion on ugly people... NO ONE runs away from ugly people if they have great personalities

theres always someone out there for everyone.. sounds corny but its true...

i hate it when people say they are / or other people are ugly....
but i am realistic.. good looks are a big advantage .. its the first impression you get from anyone..

but equally important is personality.... looks are a two minute thing ... but personality is what makes people stay interested

Ok.
I'm going to be honest now - good looks do get you noticed and may be the first thing that attract a girl to you.
The best thing I can suggest is find someone good looking to be friends with.
Then when you see a group of girls you can go over and talk to them together. Chances are if your friends good looking he's a ******/devoid of any sort of personality/ can think of nothing better to do than show them various injuries he's sustained playing rugby. That's where you jump in and save them with some decent conversation.
A good personality does come through in your looks - I know loads of really pretty girls who date less attractive men 'cause they're really nice/funny/intelligent guys who treat them well.

I'm quite desperate if it gets really bad....

People will like you, but in that "I want to be friends with them" way. Funny, ugly guys are the ones who end up being the best friend, and quietly pining away for the girl. Some girls can overlook a really ugly face, but it's still a severe disadvantage.

Equally, I know handsome guys who have got away with murder because of their looks. Most women probably wouldn't be able to deal with a crap personality, even if the guy had amazing looks, but speaking plainly, being ugly is a massive disadvantage when it comes to attracting women, and being good looking is a huge advantage. It's that simple.
