He's an FY1, graduated 2014 fresh out of med school. His/her opinion really isn't relevant.
Plus, I said 'you're obviously an idiot' as a response to his comment about using the word "specialism".
You don't need to go to medical school to know basic english.

My actual favourite show ever. Did aspirations to be more like Dr Secretan encourage your career decisions?

No, though my desire to stare at Mac all day might have.

Sadly none of our surgeons compare.

I love Grey's anatomy. It makes me want to be a doctor more than being a doctor makes me want to be a doctor. But its about as realistic as my chance of marrying Bradley Cooper.

I enjoy medical programmes less now I work in it every day. I loved ER and for me it was one of the best. I can only tolerate Grey's because it is nothing like real life. Anything too realistic makes me stressed. Cardiac Arrest, I'm looking at you.

Watch nip/tuck. It's in no way accurate but it's full of beautiful people and a lot of sex and drugs! Can't really go wrong...

I think Maydie is the perfect place for me to start my Guyball team.

Everyone should calm down, I've just discovered that the entire boxset of Green Wing is now available on 4od. Go watch.

Yeah, where's the famous anaesthetist-surgeon banter I was so looking forward to witnessing during pre-clin? :hmmm:

I'm a little obsessed with Green Wing. I've watched every single episode multiple times, and have quotes from Dr Statham and Mac committed to memory. Alan Statham has to be the best comic invention in history.
When I did my surgical house job there was a lot of anaesthetist/ surgeon banter, depending on the docs involved of course. That was one of the things that made me think working in surgery might be quite fun. The surgical career ladder and the misogyny within surgery put me off though (and my tendency to feel faint if standing for a long time especially at night). Green wing is brilliant. I love Mark Heap although he does seem to be now stuck playing the same character in different series.
Do no harm

Got cancelled after the first season after low ratings but it is quite good

Has a Jekyll n Hyde concept behind it
Main characters a well known neurosurgeon with a split personality disorder

just watched the trailer, interesting concept haha.
doesnt seem to cover much of the medical-related aspects of his career as a neurosurgeon though(?) other than the fact that his profession is a neurosurgeon i wouldnt really call it a 'medical drama'. i'll give it a watch though, looked pretty interesting
Green Wing.

A v. accurate depiction of hospital life.

Yeah man do that

I'm only a couple episodes in
If probably describe it as a fast paced drama with frequent medical references and often set in a medical environment (hospital) rather than ,more bluntly, a medical drama

Where can I watch green wing, cardiac arrest and all these other shows? I'm intrigued
