Wow. That really is so very not true, it's incredible.
I think there is some truth in it. But you can't really generalise since not everyone will think that way.

Tell her you love her but are not in love with her.

Yep, and if you love somebody emotionally you will feel a physical attraction.
I don't think that's true at all. For example, I have plenty of female friends who I do love emotionally, and even the ones that I know are really gorgeous - I don't feel the same sort of physical attraction to that I would with a girlfriend.

And that's not even starting on male friends (who I am man enough to admit that I love :p:) and family members.

I think it's more than possible to emotionally love someone a lot, and have it be heartbreaking to hurt them in any way, without sexual attraction.

I think it's fair to assume that samba was refering to the sort of love between a couple rather than friends and family.

well you don't have to 'leave' her, there is always room for just friendship.
this is if you're not an 'item' already..

Don't sting her along under the premise of love.

If you have a strong relationship she would have noticed that somethings up. Has this occured?

I love my mum emotionally, but, eeeeeeeeeeww
    Good point.

Do you love her as just a friend for her personality?
