Exhausted since been at Uni

Anyone else feel the same , just totally pooped, can't really explain as I 'm not overweight or unfit just exhausted all the time and having to drag myself to Uni every day, maybe not living in halls is the problem and have to travel quite a way every day on tube or late bus if attending events, anyone else feeling really tired atm?:frown:
It can be a bit of a shock to the system, especially after a long summer...

I was totally worn out a few weeks ago, and it resulted in me getting quite ill. I took the whole of last week off and now I feel a lot better.
I feel exhuasted, but if I don't go out at least for a few hours, I end up sitting in my room crying my eyes out, telling myself I'm lonely and homesick. I don't know if I am though :s
Yeah I am pretty exhausted at the moment too and know that my immune system is down as I am getting the typical signs when I am stressed- bad skin, getting a cold and sore throat etc. I have stocked up on some multivitamins and have been trying to take it easy this weekend (no strenuous exercise) and am trying to eat really healthily too.

Get used to it because it won't get any better.

I'm nodding off in my lectures, yes.
I think it will be another week before I adapt.

There's a virus going around, people are getting headaches & feeling sick with diahorrea
Most people will find the first few weeks at uni exhausting - making new firends, going new places, learning new things all need more mental effort than when you were at home/school. For instance when I'm at home I can walk to town on "automatic pilot" - don't need to concentrate at all. But when I came here last year everywhere I went I didn't know whether it was left or right! It's like adrenalin pumping 24hours a day.

And at the same time there's alcohol, parties, late nights...and no Sunday lunch on the table I could eat in my pjs having been up for 5mins

All combined means exhaustion. Once you get used the new environment it'll get better...it did for me.

Thank god for that, thought it was only me...

Literally am nearly falling asleep in them, and i feel bad, its not because they are boring, its just that i dont do early mornings at all! By about 2 or 3 im (usually) fine!
last year at uni i got exhausted at the beginning aswell...and after having a long summer- nice and easy relaxing, im back but at a different uni and im exhausted all over again! Hopefully will get better soon, I need to go to the gym to keep my energy and mentality up!

Out of the four weeks i've been at uni, for 3 of them i've been ill...or just feeling generally rubbish. When I say ill i just mean I had a cold, felt v.tired. etc. Although during the past week it got even worse. I went to the doctors and now im on medication. Starting to feel A LOT better thank goodness. Guess its just the new surroundings etc

I'm feeling really tired. I've managed to avoid the freshers flu so far (touch wood) but am completely bushed. I keep falling asleep in lectures - not because they're boring.

Dony worry you'll get used to it, it just takes a while to adapt.

Try and make sure that you are drinking loads of water, eating a balanced diet (lots of fruit and veg etc), and try and get a decent nights sleep or go to bed/get up the same time every day.

Im in my final year now and I feel so much better now that I did last year and the year before, I actually feel like I have loads of energy now.
I'm perfectly fine.

I felt screwed in my first term. Poor sleeping habits, extremely poor diet...

you'll adjust to things after a while, get yourself into more of a sensible, sustainable routine. Things will get healthier....

eating sensibly helps enormously, get the fruit and vegetables in, lots of water, some exercise, good sleep, and things will be ok...
