Boots, Superdrug, sainsbury's, tescos.....

Can get them free at your local Family Planning Clinic. Either just turn up, or phone them.

Not embarassed to buy them, it shows you have the brain cells to actually buy and use protection, and be safe.

Just try not to be embarassed, as at the end of the day, they are on the shelves for you to buy, so it isn't a crime to buy them. And don't worry what other people say.

Boots or superdrug generally. Or Sainsburys if I need to. And no, I honestly don't feel embarrassed. I think I would in our local chemist with the old lady behind the till, but buying condoms shows you are sensible enough to be having safe sex.

I don't know why str8 bars dont do the same thing but yeh they are so places where they are free i never see the need in paying for them.

I've never been embarassed buying condoms.

I thought it would be embarassing but when it came to it, my having sex depended on me buying them and somehow that was a hell of a lot more important.

HIV is a lot more common among the gay community than the straight community, so protection is a bigger concern. On top of this, gays tend to have more anal sex than straights (at least during one night stands), so pre-lubricated condoms are a must, whereas straights can go bareback for vaginal intercourse.

That would be my guess, anyway.

but surely it would be wise of straight bars to encourage safe sex also.

It would be wise, yes, but they're operating a business, not a charity, and it will make far less of a difference to their business than it would to the business of a gay bar.
there not going to point and laugh at you you know, nearly all retail foodstores/chemists sell condoms, if your that emabrressed about it then go to a shop you never have before

Just stroll in to the busiest supermarket you find, and proudly announce you need to know where the condoms are.

Probably makes the shop workers feel awkward which will be worth it, and it'll definately be worth it when you get back home!

i was embrassed buying condoms for my bf cos i saw my english teacher so i had to hide before i could buy them lol
Can i assure you all, having worked in a chemist for four years, that no one gives a damn. We won't be thinking, 'oh my how embassassing, look they're buying condoms' or even 'oh look aren't they sensible'.
You have to get it in perspective - a significant amount of customers that come in are buying them, and you're not gonna be any different from any of them. Chill - i've probably sold hundreds of packets to all sorts of people and no one else who works in a pharmacy will be any different
I work at a supermarket, and they were buy-one-get-one-free the other day, and obviously they're like £10 for a packet of 12...
So this guy bought loads of stuff, plus the two boxes of condoms and his shopping came to £40... He didn't think that all his purchases would amount to that much, so he goes, "Was it buy-one-get-one-free on the err...errrrr..." and he couldn't actually bring himself to say it hehe.
