Could well be.

I think I may have that. In the summer when it's really hot and humid I'm really short tempered and grumpy, I snap at people really easily and feel in a bad mood. Especially when it's humid, that drives me mad.

Yes I am always depressed thefirst half term of school, and then usually after xmas for a about a few months. Then from April through to September I am happy. Not sure if it's weather related or just me being a ******.

could be. lack of light in autumn, grim weather and also the fact that often major life things (ie. starting college/uni, new academic year after long summer break) can make this time of year rather depressing and stressful. Stay positive.
Are you a girl?
I get really depressed at certain points in my cycle and just cry at everything.
If you're a guy it could be SAD (go see your doctor...) or it could just be that it's that time of year where everything's changing and it can all just get a bit much - in which case it'll pass.
Wait a while and see how you feel in a few weeks...

yeah i am a girl. it might be cos of m period, but it doesn't normally affect me like this. i remember crying in my room with my bf a lot this time last year for reasons that just don't warrent crying over. i feel like that now, but he's not here anymore, but i just feel so awful.
i wonder if it is SADs cos there's not really a lack of light atm.
does anyone know this feeling will just go away?

I find it comes and goes and does definately go, but in the mean time I just try and hold it in all day and then get in to bed, pull the duvet over my head and cry for an hour, maybe fall asleep and that sorts you out for a while.

Yeah sometimes I feel that. Is it part of growing up by any chance?
And its more frustrating when youre sitting in the lecture hall all serious and the guy or girl next to you is all fresh and happy :frown:

People do get depressed at certain times of the year.
I'm sure when it gets nearer to winter more and more people get depressed.
Or it might be hormones, not unheard of.

where can i begin? im always depressed. And ive noticed my depression meter hits the maximum in sept/oct and i cry so much that life seems pointless. But i have reasons i dont get depressed for nothing too much going on -sigh-
It's probably just the "winter blues" (combination of poor weather, taking less excercise, spending less time outdoors). Don't go self-diagnosing yourself with SAD when you don't actually know what it is :p:. A lot of people feel a bit down towards winter (in fact, it's fairly well documented that the majority of people have reduced energy levels to an extent) but a very small percentage of those actually have SAD.

That's not to say it definately ISN'T of course... just don't go convincing yourself that you have it before you've talked to a professional.
nah, i am getting way more excercise than i have all summer, and therefore spedning way more time outdoors.

i am supposedly really busy, yet i still have all this time in between doing things to feel depressed...

nah, i don't think it is SADs, cos it's not got anything to do with light, but it's weird it happened the same time as last year, for no reason i can think of...

i hate feel like this when all my friends seem so happy etc and i feel it's making me further apart from them...
whoops...there goes annoymous!
God I love it when people do that.

Stop the sarcasm thanks, I put on there as no-one else had stated it and someone may be trying to find out what it means.
