watch your diet too, high protein, low fat, high calories....research on www.bodybuilding.com (go to the supersite then the forum)...and STAY OFF THE STEROIDS lol

Reps of what though? Bicep curls, bench press.....

I shouldn't worry too much. I've yet to meet a girl who dates people based on their prowess at arm wrestling. Just go to the gym and judge yourself on how you feel your body is developing. Don't be peturbed by how much the short fat scary bald man is lifting in his 3 rep sets.

just stick to tsr... you don't need to be strong to get lots and lots of rep so it's the best option i swear!

i cant do reps of more than 5 on a total of 24kg on a deadbell..

:frown:

im going to start going to the gym, but i feel so pathetic.

is anyone else in/was in my shoes?

As other people have said everyone has to start somewhere. If you are a guy I would suggest you start some sort of training in the gym. Seek some advice before you start. After a while your stength and fitness will start improving and your confidence will also increase. It is no good complaining about yourself, you have to take action to improve your situation!

What the heck is a deadbell? Do you mean deadlifting? A barbell? If you can only do 5 reps of 24K for deadlifts... yeah, that's pretty weak. I'm assuming you mean bench press, which seems to be the default lift everybody talks about (why, I don't know, since I don't think it's anything like the same indicator of total body strength as a deadlift or a squat).

Anyway, you have to bear in mind that most guys started out pretty weak when they began lifting. I know I did, and probably 18 months later of lifting on and off, I can't believe how far my strength and my physique has come.

You'll get there. Just have some patience.
