Should I tell her?

Hey,

Not sure quite how to word all this but I'll give it a go...

So it's been about 5 weeks now since we started back at school. Spent the first week or two just catching up with some mates and whatnot, then I started chatting to a group of Yr12s (I'm Yr13). They are pretty damn cool, get on pretty well with them.

There's a particular girl in this group who's basically caught my eye from a few days starting back. It's a bit strange, I'll look around the room and I'll often see her looking at me, or we make eye contact at the same time then just look away again. I knew she was quite a shy person as I didn't see her talk that much, and her friends also told me this after I got to know them all. We always seem to smile at one another when we see each other which is quite nice as well... cus' she's got an lovely(?) smile ^_^

Anyways, about 2 1/2 weeks ago, a few of us went out bowling for the night, including this shy one. She's so much different ouf of school, very talkative, laughing about and whatnot so that was kinda cool :smile:

Anywho, end of the night we swapped phone numbers and MSN addresses and since then we pretty much talk everyday, both at school, over text or via MSN.

I'm starting to get to really like her. Her best mate knows I like her (told her last week), and she seemed quite excited that I did like her?, but she promised not to tell her as I didn't want her knowing. The shy girl and I get on pretty well now, she talks to me more than any lad (so I'm told) so I must be doing something right.

Were going out sometime this week again (we've been goin out at least once a week since the first time, in a small group though) and I'm wondering if I should tell her that I like her before the hoildays? She's off abroad for the hoildays so I'm not so sure? I've got no idea if she likes me... I'd ask her best mate but I don't want to be so "forward" (right word?). I know the shy girl isn't seeing anyone or going out with anyone atm, but I also don't know if she likes anyone.

Bit of a silly situation... what should I doooo? :confused:

i think u shud tell her....i like my friend 2...and i'm waiting for him to ask me out (found out by a friend tht he likes me 2)... it cud be possible tht she's waitin for u to make the first move (cos she's shy n all)..

I think there is a need. You're one step away from asking if you should wipe your own arse.

This isn't a problem you're incapable of solving on your own. It's something simple and easy, and you seem to need other people to tell you what to do before actually making a decision.

How about thinking for yourself?

Well you don't know her too well maybe ask her out for lunch in a cafe then get to know more about each other.

bit the bullet and ask her she wont say no i think she likes you to whats the worst that can happen her saying no but then at least you know and it dont drive you crazy thinking about it go for it bud.

This is freakily the same as as my situation last year. I took the turn of not telling her even though she said she knew but i was stupid in not going to see her often and arranging dates and the time came when she went on a school trip and she decided to start dating this other youth. I have never regretted not being forward so much before. This happened way back in march and i am still regretting it to this day. I still see the girl now but it is awkward as she has a boyfriend but it is clear that we should be together but with me being at uni now it cant happen.
My advice is do it asap, youll onlyu live to regret it
