chest pains......

Hey there, I've been having this problem for years and well its so random and inconsistent that i don't really know if I should see a doctor. When i wake up, sometimes i suffer from serious chest pains which last for like 20 mins and then it just goes away. During this time I also find it diffiuclt to breath properly becuase it hurts. It rarely also occurs during the day and it again just lasts for 20 mins at themost and this it just fades away.

The thing is that im an athlete so It shouldn't be because im unfit and im gonna get a heart attack or something like that. My sister has asthma though so I thought that could be the problem but my doc said that I don't 2 years ago. Someone even mentioned TB (i used to go to London a lot) and I never had the jab becuase of the test meaning that I will get a nasty reaction from the jab. Just don't really know what to do?

I really would see a doctor; it could be serious, and it's the only way to really know. Chest pains shouldn't be ignored IMO.

I get those all the time and I haven't keeled over yet...

They do hurt though.

They didn't give you a TB jab because you're naturally immune to it.

I also don't know anyone whose got TB from just going into London a few times...

Athletes 'get' heart attacks too! See your doctor. Better to be safe than sorry and hopefully it'll turn out that there's nothing seriously wrong. Let us know how you get on.
