College friends have left:(

Last year at college was great because I made about 5/6 good friends. But now they've all left me. 2 went to Uni, 2 did crap in the exams and so dropped out and 2 are in different classes. I've only made 1 or 2 new mates there, but i'm not as close to them. It doesn't bother me that much but last year was just so much better than this year. I'm hoping to go to uni in 2 years. Just wanted to get that of my chest.

can you not get talking to other people in your lessons? i 'survive' lessons by talking to people who sit by me, and then meet up with my friends (who aren't in my lessons) at lunch and break. if they're not in i go do some work in the college library.

Yeah, i have started doing that but i'm quite shy which doesn't help.

its **** innit. In college i hung around with 26 others. We were a really tight group - it wasnt just like little groups came together in the same place, we were best mates and went out everywhere together inside and outside of college. i love them all so much. It was the best 2 years of my life. Now im in uni and only made a hand full of 'friends' its crap :frown:

I'm afraid you can't do anything about old friends, i only can only advice you to move on and make new friends. Im quite shy aswell and making friends can sometimes become difficult. it's quite a downside if your a shy person especially when communicating with others as i'm not as open with a stranger or someone i dont speak to on a regular basis as i would be with my close friends. but most importantly dont let it your shyness overule or control your life and whilst making new friends.
