To be honest, most of these subjects are influenced so much by the teacher being either really great or really rubbish. I find it quite hard to differentiate the actual subject from the teacher - for example the fact that Maths isn't my worst subject is completely down to the fact that our teacher is amazing.

Why do most people hate TOK? Its honestly not such a bad class if you've got an awesome teacher

My teacher is pretty awful. You hand her an essay and she marks it without realising it is double sided. So she says it never makes sense and it's too short.

Do you (and the person who said physics before you, sorry, because of my browser format I can't see your posts at the moment) do HL or SL Physics? And do you do Maths and Eng Lit HL or SL? Sorry- I'm a Y11 choosing my IB subjects and I want to do HL Maths and Physics but I'm a little bit scared of their reputations... Thanks!
I would recommend doing a fourth hl for the first semester or so incase you deicde that you want to move down in one. Physics HL is do able with math SL but definately easier with HL

Honestly I love TOK as I'm really into philosophy and stuff... And the TOK teachers at my school all seem to be pretty good.

Hmm, a lot of mine is influenced by teachers/teaching to be fair.
I agree! My biology/geography/maths teachers are amazing and so I enjoy those subjects most. French is also good but I'm just completely hopeless so can't do much about that And I have crap teachers for English & Comp Sci so I hate them.

If I'm honest, I really regret taking ESS, you can't even use it to get into an ESS degree - that's how useless it is! If anyone reading this is choosing their subjects, I'm suggesting you avoid it, it's boring and although less complex than the other sciences, a complete waste of time and somehow really difficult to get a good grade on.

I reckon it depends on the teacher, and how much you like philosophy - I'm taking HL Philosophy and it seems like only the Philosophy students like TOK

To be honest everything was pretty much alright, except Math. History was stressful because the teacher was ridiculous, but all in all it was mostly memory work. My Business teacher was a pain to work with, but the subject itself was alright. My school didn't offer Math Studies and I am absolutely horrid at Math in general, so Math SL was a right pain :/

Really? I've never done philosophy nor do I have any clue about the subject matter but I guess I might like it. Granted my teacher is one of the main reasons why I love the class.
