I wouldn't trust my bf, he's waaay too forgetful!

Reply 3

haha i dont think any men will take it.
they'll leave it upto us girls

Reply 4

I wouldn't trust a guy to take it. Still it's good in theory.

Reply 5

I would forget, as I always forget to take pills.

Reply 6

I don't think many guys would take it to be honest but it will be interesting to find out. They expect us to take it plus most are bad with any type of pill.

Reply 7

I would never have trusted my now ex to take it, he was way too forgetfull and forever loosing things.

I've covered this at a level and there are some side affects hence the reason its still in the trial stage but i guess the female contraceptive was the same when it was at the same stage.
In some ways i think the guys attitude plays a big part too, like using a condom once a week or whatever is different to pumping your body full of hormones every night.

Would the guys get a break for their male periods? :P

I don't EXPECT any girls to take it, its their choice and its not compulsory.

I'm not taking it because it could have some really bad effects. I don't take any drugs unless absolutely necessary. My body is a temple and I only want to do what nature intended, medicine wise.

I wouldn't. Then again I am a homo.

So.. you'd rather it be ruined by the endless sleepless nights and exposure to germs a baby would cause?

From the research into it I've done yeh there are side effects, but when you compare these with the side effects of the female pill they are miniscule. Also I'm damn forgetful, and I still manage to take the pill, mainly because I don't want a baby! I'm positive that if a guy agreed to take the pill then the fact he's a bit forgetful will not stop him taking it effectively, because lets face it his life will be messed up just as much by a baby as the mothers would (potentially, obviously not if he just legs it...but then why would you be with someone like that anyway) Final point I know a irl who reeeally wanted kids, and 'forgot' to take her pill her bf didn't ant kids and now she's pregnant, so I definitely think that guy would have wanted the option of a male pill.
Me n my bf have spoken about it and he has said that as soon as it is available in the UK he will be on it, he hates the fact that I have to carry the entire burden of our contraception when he gtes half then fun from it.

ive voted yes because my bf would take it. this would be as well as me having the implant (im going to get it eventualy. i just havnt quite gotten round to it yet). i would never trust him to take it as our only form of contraception.

Well, if girls dont trust their guys to take the pill, why do we need to bother? Medicate ourselves just to make it 'fair'? And i don't like the thought of killing all my little fellas...

because if two people are on the pill there is half the chance of pregnancy due to forgetfulness.

Reply 17

My boyfriend has spoken about this and if/when it's avalible over he he is willing to take it, along with me on the pill aswell so we can be as protected as possible....after all I've just got pregnant though using condoms

In my relationship it isn't 'up to her' contraception is a decision which affects both of us and so one which we make together, to make it best for us together. It seems a little callous to hav ethe attitude that if she wants to protect your relationship from babies then thats fine and she can go ahead and do it, I however will sit back and enjoy the ride.

Excuse me you are so damn rude, that's not what i am implying if she wants to go on the pill i will be behind her, if she doesn't then thats fine, we use condoms and we don't have any problems.
