Dump her. She won't be expecting that!

Depends what she likes and how much you have to spend really. A weekend break is always a good option - one night for each year you've been together.

haha - money isn't the issue here and she isn't allowed to go away as her parents won't let her until she's 18.

Reply 3

Ahh, you're a bit more restricted here then. A nice day out somewhere then, pamper yourselves, or perhaps you could get the house to yourself and try cooking a meal yourself?

been there, done that - I wanted to do something totally unexpected and very romantic. Something a girl would love! I'm so confused! :frown:

I dunno. But don't worry about the conventional idea of romance. Romance is when you've spent time thinking of something special in order to make her happy.. hell, if it had some meaning to both of you, a pizza in the carpark of the takeaway would be romantic. I'm sure that in two years you've got a pretty good idea what makes her smile.

Right, so my GF and I have been going out for two years now. It's a very special occasion, and I really want to treat my gf. Thing is: I want do something really different and individual, and I think that going to the Restaurant is really boring. What do you guys suggest?

on my 2 year anniversary with mr love-of-my-life:

1) he bought a mini notebook, the tiny cute ones you get in gift shops. there was approx 100 pages. on every page he wrote 1 reason he loved me
2) we have had a really exciting relationship to put it lightly.. so he drew up this sort of 'timeline' of our relationship from the past 2 years with the sentimental moments he remembers and our exciting stuff. VERY cute. things like "15th may 2003 - today i fell in love" "1st november 2003 - we stood in the road together and got soaked in the first rain of the season" "29th december 2004 - we got kicked out by security from ***** hotel" etc
3) gave me one of HIS favourite soft toys from when he was a kid
4) took me out to dinner and bought me a swarovski ring with our initials and anniversary date engraved on the inside

I would change my name and emigrate if my girlfriend did something like this

Surely it should mean something to you and be individual to your relationship?

OH. MY. GOD. How cute is this boyfriend!! Wish mine would do something like that!

Whatever you do, don't let her know ANYTHING at all. Surprise is key here.

I'd plan a whole weekend of activities and things to do. Massage is also good, is only boring if you let it be and can lead nicely onto other things

Is there anything she's always wanted? When is she 18? Perhaps go away then instead and do something low-key on your actual anniversary.

Without knowing your girlfriend it's quite difficult to suggest specific things but I know I'd really love something if I knew my boyfriend had gone to a lot of effort to arrange it and really thought about it.
